I wish Warners would stop that nonsense and just put 'em all on the Collector's Choice!
But on the bright side, as a film buff, I'd probably enjoy the DVD!
It's to recreate the theatrial-movie experience. All that's missing (except for some like my copy of "Treasure of the Sierra Madre") is a newsreel.
They've done this since the VHS days. These bonus cartoons are mostly for the film fans, not the cartoon fans.
There are some dvds about with a substantial amount of golden age cartoons (Forbidden Hollywood for WB, Hel*boy for UPA, The 3 Calebraros for Disney, ect.) so those are really the only ones I'd recommend. That is unless you like live action stuff, in which case Warner Home Video and Warner Archive are amazing.
In some cases, a cartoon bonus release from WB is the only way* to get a particular LT/MM on modern home video (or at least it was for a long time). The first such ones date back to 2003, the same year the Golden Collection and Spotlight Collection series premiered. I think it's a good idea for the sake of getting even more out there, FWIW.
BTW, according to the Bugs Bunny Video Guide, there are two other releases (The Man I Love and Mr. & Mrs. Smith) with bonus cartoons (Roughly Squeaking and Slick Hare/The Cat's Tale and Sport Chumpions) that were slated for June 18...all have been pushed back a week (June 25).

*The same also applies for other cartoon series owned by WB, Happy Harmonies being a good example.
This actually won't be the last release to rid us of the MeTV logo. There are still quite a number left that are THE one and only way to get them in HD. We will never get all the shorts released in HD. Warner seems absolutely against releasing "the censored eleven" or "the dirty dozen" then you can add to that the Buddy cartoons that may not be the best of Warner but still a very important stepping stone to later cartoons. Film scans from collectors are all the only way to get the rest.
What exactly is "the dirty dozen"?
As for the Buddy cartoons, there have been a few released on Blu-ray in recent years, FWIW.
"The Dirty Dozen" is a name used mostly on forums to refer to 12 Bugs Bunny cartoons that were banned from airing on Cartoon Network during their June Bugs marathon and on most TV airings ever since. Only one is also in "The Censored Eleven" *.
"The Dirty Dozen"
1- Hiawatha's Rabbit Hunt
2- All This and Rabbit Stew *
3- Any Bonds Today?
4- What's Cookin' Doc?
5- Bugs Bunny Nips the Nips
6- Herr Meets Hare
7- Which is Witch?
8- A Feather In His Hare
9- Frigid Hare
10- Bushy Hare
11- Horse Hare
12- Mississippi Hare
Okay. I thought it might have been that, except half of it has already been released on modern home video. And it seems to be more often called "The Twelve Missing Hares".
