The book being referenced (Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies: A Complete Illustrated Guide to the Warner Bros. Cartoons by Jerry Beck and Will Friedwald) on Wikipedia clearly states October 7 as the release date. The same goes for Leonard Maltin's Of Mice and Magic and Graham Webbs' The Animated Film Encyclopedia. So it's actually Wikipedia that's wrong.
