Correct me if I'm wrong, but I heard that one reason why certain directors can only use certain characters (i.e. those they created) outside of the "universal" cast (Bugs, Daffy, Elmer , Porky, Sylvester) could be because they were restricted from using other characters. I'm not sure if it's true, especially since McKimson stated in a 1971 interview with Michael Barrier that no one could stop them from using different characters, using Goldimouse and the Three Cats (Sylvester Jr.), Dog Pounded (Pepe le Pew), the shorts starring Sylvester and Porky and the three Chuck Jones shorts featuring henry Hawk as examples.
What was the first Looney Tunes (referring to the original-shorts) cartoon that Carl Stalling composed music for? And what was the final short that he composed new music for?
Some are mock-ups and fan recreations, but some seem to be legit, like "Peck up your troubles" and "The Goofy Gophers".

I feel like more people need to see this, as it contains lost media that has been found in one video.
There have been variations on the popular theme songs of Merrie Melodies and Looney Tunes and fortunatly there are Youtube videos that have compiled them with some information regarding dates. The two pages dedicated to the theme songs, 'Merrily We Roll Along' and 'The Merry-Go-Round Broke Down', should contain an easy to read list that distinguish the variants.
Youtube compilations that contain a list in the description:
"Merrily We Roll Along" Through the Years! (Merrie Melodies/Looney Tunes)
“Merrily We Roll Along” Through the Years! (Merrie Melodies/Looney Tunes)
The version I looked for was described as "The first "perfected" version of the opening theme, early 1939" which appeared in 'The Good Egg (1939) original opening recreation'. I don't know its first appearance.

Did anyone notice how there's less Looney Tunes content being available for streaming on HBO Max? https://looneytunes.fandom.com/wiki/HBO_Max?so=search
The reason I'm asking this is because there's a lack of variety regarding its shows and movies. So many of its shows and movies have been released over the years.
The shows from it on HBO Max are the classic Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies shorts, The Sylvester & Tweety Mysteries, The Looney Tunes Show, New Looney Tunes, Looney Tunes Cartoons, and Bugs and Daffy’s Thanksgiving Road Trip. https://looneytunes.fandom.com/wiki/Looney_Tunes?so=search

It doesn't make sense because Looney Tunes is one of Warner Bros' most well-known franchises. Another one is DC Comics. https://looneytunes.fandom.com/wiki/DC_Comics?so=search
They also own The WB/Kids' WB (now The CW), Cartoon Network, Boomerang, HBO, AT&T, and Time Warner (now WarnerMedia) making them all part of their library. https://looneytunes.fandom.com/wiki/The_WB?so=search

I'm not trying to nitpick, complain, or cause a stir about HBO Max or anything, I just feel that if it had more of a variety of Looney Tunes shows and movies, it would be a more successful streaming service.
Did anyone at all notice how there's less Looney Tunes content being available for streaming on HBO Max? And if so, should there be more of its shows and movies added to it?

Does anyone know where I can find this image of Foxy in high quality? Thanks in advance.
If Disney, MGM Cartoons, Terrytoons, and UPA did make Cinemascope shorts in the late 1950s, why didn't Warner Bros make Looney Tunes shorts at Cinemascope?

What do you guys think or feel about The Looney Tunes Show (2001 TV Series) having newly-animated cartoon shorts?
The reason that I'm asking this is because the intro, outro, and bumpers were all newly-animated.
They were all newly-animated yet the cartoon shorts that were featured on the show were from the original Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies theatrical cartoon series that were produced from 1934 to 1969.
This all happened when the show was airing on Cartoon Network back in 2001.
I find this rather strange because all of those shorts are old and outdated and don't live up to today's television standards. Also, the fifth and final season of The Sylvester & Tweety Mysteries and Tweety's High-Flying Adventure were both newly-animated.
So, I was thinking that instead of all of those shorts being featured on the show, it would've had newly-animated cartoon shorts produced and featured on it,
......like THIS one for example.
It would've had Bugs, Elmer, Pepe Le Pew (voiced by Billy West), Daffy, Tweety, Sylvester, Marvin, Colonel Rimfire, Henery Hawk, (all voiced by Joe Alaskey), Foghorn Leghorn (voiced by Bill Farmer), Missy Prissy (voiced by Tress MacNeille), Eggbert/Egghead Jr., Porky (voiced by Bob Bergen), Taz (voiced by Jim Cummings), Yosemite Sam (voiced by Maurice LaMarche), Speedy Gonzales (voiced by Carlos Alazraqui), Wile E. Coyote, Road Runner, Ralph Wolf, Sam Sheepdog, and Granny (voiced by June Foray). It would've even featured guest appearances by Lola (voiced by Kath Soucie), Aoogah (from Tweety's High-Flying Adventure), Melissa (Daffy's girlfriend voiced by B.J. Ward), Petunia (Porky's girlfriend voiced by Grey DeLisle), and Penelope (the cat that Pepe is always chasing after).
Now, I'm not saying that the old cartoon shorts from Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies that were produced from 1934 to 1969 or bad or offensive or anything, but I feel that it would've been a fantastic opportunity if newly-animated cartoon shorts had been featured on the show during its airing on Cartoon Network back in 2001. You know,....to sort of appeal to modern Looney Tunes fans.
I don't mean to put down the show or anything, this is just my own personal opinion on "what could've been".
What do you guys think or feel about this suggestion?
Please feel free to express any of your thoughts and opinions in the comment section down below pertaining to this post.
Does anyone remember this show?
It was aired on Cartoon Network back in 2001. It had an intro and outro with an instrumental version of "This Is It", and it had bumpers with humans working with characters from the show. The cartoon shorts that were featured on it were from Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies that were originally produced from 1934 to 1969. Also its title is very similar to The Looney Tunes Show which premiered on Cartoon Network back in 2011.
Does anyone at all here remember The Looney Tunes Show (2001 TV Series) that aired on Cartoon Network back in 2001?

Because the original title of this short has not been restored, it was that it has only been restored with the reissued title of blue ribbon with the original reissued ending for this MeTV program but the original title of this cartoon directed by Tex Avery was never shown.
