1. Why do you want to be promoted?
My interest is partly due to the low number of current rollbacks on the Looney Tunes Wiki. Another part is due to my willingness to help out on here, having been a regular editor for some time (I started last spring).
2. What makes you qualified for the promotion you are applying for?
I have made over 1,000 edits on the Looney Tunes Wiki, far more so on articles than on user and talk pages. I have been active for roughly 11 months, more or less every day during that time. I do not recall ever being blocked on here.
3. If you end up getting the promotion, what would you do to improve the encyclopedia?
As a rollback, I would be able to have an easier time undoing edits that I know to be unhelpful. This is particularly in cases where a user is just causing trouble (i.e. a troll). A perhaps less obvious situation would be those promoting an idea that is mistaken (but earnestly think is correct). One recent example of the latter was with a few who were under the impression that Porky Pig 101 had cartoons previously unreleased on DVD restored and remastered, when that was actually not the case.
4. What have you contributed to the wiki so far (main-space edits)?
I have made nearly 1,100 edits to the wiki, ones that I have made with the earnest intention of improving the article pages. These include corrections (i.e. spelling, grammar, information), additions, and using more formal language to reflect an encyclopedic tone. I also contributed a longer plot summary for the cartoon Cracked Quack, and may get to doing so for more cartoons when I can set time to commit to such an endeavor.
5. Any experiences on other wikis with this position or with any higher user position? If so, explain and be honest. Wikis based on fan-fiction content do not count. If you have any experience on other wikis, please link a page to your contributions on said wiki.
I have been an administrator for the Garfield Wiki since 2014 (at a time when there was only one active admin, IIRC) and the Colonel Bleep Wiki since 2018 (when I adopted it). I have also had staff experience on the Curious George Wiki (former) and the Tom and Jerry Wiki (current).
For the Garfield Wiki, I have added and amended much information as well as dealing with people making unhelpful edits (again, either trolls or those with mistaken ideas; some of the latter would come to understand what the problem was after I explained it to them). One user on that wiki recently commended my dedication there for its quality: https://garfield.fandom.com/wiki/Message_Wall:Low_Spark_of_Lyman?threadId=4400000000000033066
6. Have you ever been in an situation where you wish you had the rights you want, but didn't have the privileges to do so?
Outside of this wiki, I am not sure if that has been the case, at least not in the long term. For this wiki, there are times where I feel I could have more leverage to use my capabilities responsibly.
7. Anything else you would like to add?
Although- like many, many people- I got into Looney Tunes way back in childhood and have had much impact from it, I have been on-and-off with watching the shorts, furthermore with those I haven't seen before (or at least don't remember seeing); this is something I've recently been rectifying. I'm also still learning about behind-the-scenes information about the series, although I have learned a lot up to now. Therefore, if I'm not sure about something (such as with the aforementioned Porky Pig 101 incident), I believe the best thing to do would be to ask someone reliable on here if it is legitimate.
Another important thing about me- I am on the autism spectrum, so that may be relevant in some social situations here. I try to do my best with helping out, although I may seem strange at times with my approach, so you may want to be aware of that when applicable.
