This is my idea for if Ralph Phillips had an older brother in the shorts that were focused on him.
https://looneytunes.fandom.com/wiki/Ralph_Phillips?so=search
His name would be Salvadore Phillips.
His nickname would be Sal for short.
His voice actor would be Daws Butler.
His family would include his parents, his grandparents, an unnamed sister, and Ralph of course as his younger brother.
He would be a school graduate and currently enlisted in the army as a recruited soldier.
In one short starring Ralph, Sal would appear as a guest character. He would occasionally leave the army in order to go visit his family for the holidays. This would make Ralph so excited as he looks up to him and desires to be just like him when he grows up. Their sister however would be displeased as she despises Sal. Her reason for it would be that they did not get along very well when they were younger. She would say things about how awful he was towards her and how he highly he thinks of himself.
When he finally arrives, everyone would greet him except for the sister. They would sit down at the dinner table for a holiday feast and they would have conversations about how well he is doing. He would tell stories about all of the great things that he has done while serving his time in the army. Ralph would ask him numerous questions about what soldiers do in the army and he would give anecdotes about what goes on there.
The sister would ask him a few questions about what they "really" do in the army making him confused and uncomfortable. They would go back and forth and start shouting at each other making Ralph and their parents upset.
When the sister makes one last comment towards Sal, he would be so offended by it that he would leave the dinner table.
The parents would have a discussion with the sister in her bedroom about what the issue was between her and Sal. She would say that he's a pompous, arrogant, self-centered jerk who's full of himself. She would also say that Ralph should not be idolizing him because he is a negative influence and that Ralph will be the same way as him as he gets older. They would say to her that he is not pompous, arrogant, self-centered, or a jerk who's full of himself. They would say that he is just confident. They would say that confidence is a good thing and that no one should feel bad about it. They would also say to her that Ralph is lucky to have someone as a role model for him to admire for when he gets older. They would also tell her to apologize to Sal and make peace with her which she agrees to do.
She would then go downstairs and have a conversation with Sal. She would apologize for being so nasty and bitter towards him throughout his visit. She would say to him that the reason she was like that is because of how cruel he was towards her when they used to live together. She would then say to him that she was jealous of much Ralph idolizes him and that she wishes that he felt the same way about her. Sal would admit that he was pretty cruel and didn't realize how much of an impact it would have on her during that time. He would apologize to her for his behavior all those years ago and she would forgive him. They would then decide to bury the hatchet and start being civil towards one another for the sake of Ralph.
When it would come time for him to leave home and return to the army, they would give their hugs and goodbyes. Before he leaves, he would give Ralph a gift so that he will have something to remember him by during his time in the army.
After he leaves, the family will each talk about how proud they are of him and the good that he will continue doing while serving the army,.....even the sister.
So what do y'all think of this idea? I came up with it because of the several shorts focused on Ralph that were released decades ago. The first three shorts were "From A to Z-Z-Z-Z", "Boyhood Daze", and "Zip Zip Hooray!".

In those shorts, he was depicted as a child and was voiced by Dick Beals.
The final two shorts starring him were "90 Day Wondering" and "Drafty, Isn't It?".

In these shorts, he was depicted as an adult and he was voiced by Daws Butler.
He recently made a return appearance in the Looney Tunes Cartoons short "Livin' the Daydream".

In this short, he was voiced by actress Kari Wahlgren.
All of this got me thinking,....."What if Ralph Phillips had an older brother?"
Instead of "90 Day Wondering" and "Drafty, Isn't It?" where he is an adult, there would be a short where he is kept as a child and given an older brother. The older brother would be Salvadore Phillips. His nickname would be Sal for short. He would be a graduate from school and enlisted in the army as a soldier fighting for their country. Their parents and their unnamed sister would also appear. Ralph would admire him and wants to be just like him when he grows up. Their parents would be proud of him but their unnamed sister would have a feud with him.
He would also be voiced by Daws Butler.
Ralph would also still be voiced by Dick Beals.
What do y'all think of this idea? Do you think that a short with Ralph Phillips's older brother should've been made instead of "90 Day Wondering" and "Drafty, Isn't It?" What do you think his name would've been? Would he have been voiced by Daws Butler? Also, would he and Ralph also have had a sister who was older than Ralph but younger than him?
