Rabbit Fire, the beginning of Chuck Jones' "Hunting Trilogy" starring Bugs, Daffy and Elmer, as well as the first actual pairing of Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck.
The Wearing of the Grin, the final solo Porky Pig short
Hubie and Bertie pair with the neurotic Claude Cat in their final solo short, Cheese Chasers
1951 brings the introduction of the renowned Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and Elmer Fudd hunting trilogy. Several older plot formulas were retired around this time, as Chuck Jones drops his older Disney-esque era characters, while the other directors continue to pursue churning out cartoons featuring their main stars. Twenty-nine cartoons were released this year.
