This year marks the creation of the 1998 "THIS VERSION" prints from Warner Bros. Unlike the 1997 "DUBBED/THIS VERSION" prints, where only sone of them were restored, all of the 1998 prints of the shorts are fully restored from their original negatives. However, these prints only restore the shorts in standard definition, hence for high definition releases, they had to be restored again. These prints retain the original ending cards, with the notice showing up at the bottom, with the exception of "Kit for Cat", which had the Blue Ribbon ending titles replaced with the 1948-49 Looney Tunes ending title card.
