Censorship[]

  • In European countries, the following scenes are censored:
    • The scene in which Elmer Fudd pulls a knife on Bugs Bunny is shortened and zoomed in so the weapon cannot be seen.
    • The scene in which Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd play musical chairs is cut due to Elmer being tricked into getting himself electrocuted on the electric chair.

Notes[]

  • This is the first short of Season 6.
  • The working title was "Elmer's Birthday".
  • The title card resembles the title cards for "Elmer's Pet Rabbit", "Good Night Elmer", and "Porky's Ant".
  • The game "Kill The Wabbit", which Elmer attempts to do to Bugs after Bugs' bouncy castle idea fails, is a direct reference to the song of the same name from "What's Opera, Doc?".
    • In addition, Elmer makes a devilish face when doing so, just like he did in "Hare Remover".
  • This is the only cartoon in the series where the intro featuring Bugs Bunny riding the WB shield logo is accompanied by "The Merry-Go-Round Broke Down".
  • Multiple scenes of this short were animated in-house.[1]
