New Looney Tunes will be cancelled and the show will stop production after Season 3, which will have 26 half-hour episodes, like the first two seasons.
Me: "Wikipedia states New Looney Tunes has been cancelled. Rumors have it that the show has just ended production because of the unpopularity. Has it really been cancelled?"
Thanks if you do answer
Bob Bergen: "Well, I don't think cancelled is the right word. A show has to air to be cancelled. What I can tell you is the powers that be decided to stop producing new shorts after our third season. We did over 300 shorts. A handful of season one have aired on the Boomerang subscription service. I humbly say these are the best written post classic era Looney Tunes I've ever been a part of. Much is due to writer/producer, Matt Craig. He is brilliant. And I am so proud to have been a part of this show. IMO WB should show these theatrically before every WB feature. I cannot wait for fans to see em. Matt has posted clips on his Facebook page daily for weeks. I've shared on my page as well. My prediction is as soon as these get seen, interest will demand more. It's that good. And trust me, I don't say that about everything I do."
I can't give you guys the link because it is a private conversation. Sorry! But once New Looney Tunes is over, which will probably find its final run in 2020, there will be time to view the Animaniacs revival series, which will be picked up for two new seasons.
