Bonehead is a 2021 Looney Tunes Cartoons short.

Title

The title is a pun on the slang "bonehead", which refers to a stupid or foolish person. In this case, the title is used both figuratively and literally.

Plot

Russian Dog uncovers troubles when he buries a bone in Bugs Bunny's hole.

Notes

  • The ending where Bugs tricks the Russian Dog into burying himself alive and dances away after his "death" complete with the Russian Dog's tombstone telling the audience "This shouldn't even happen to a dog!" is a reference to the ending of "Hare Ribbin'" (1944), the cartoon which the Russian Dog officially debuted. In addition, Bugs does the exact same dance from "Hare Ribbin'" in the ending, which in turn is partially-reused animation from "A Corny Concerto" (1943).
