Plot[]
Hans, a mouse from Germany, arrives in America to visit his cousin, Willie. Hans wants to know everything is there to know about the free market capitalist system. Willie takes Hans to see a mouse lecturer from a university, who talks to Hans about the capitalist system. All the while, the three mice are chased by Sylvester.

- When the ship is passing the Statue of Liberty, it is moving roughly west to east (or left to right across the screen) when it should be moving in the opposite direction.
- Animator Ted Bonnicksen is credited as Ted Bonnickson.

- This is the only short from the Friz Freleng unit with Ben Washam as an animator.
- This is the first short to use the 1954-56 pink color rings.
- This is the first of three Looney Tunes shorts underwritten by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, followed by "Heir-Conditioned" and "Yankee Dood It".
- The department store Stacy's is based on Macy's.
- Hans says, "Ich tawt Ich taw ein pussycat," the German translation of Tweety's catchphrase "I tawt I taw a puddy tat".
- A truck for "Foster's Eggs" is shown, referencing Warren Foster, the writer of this cartoon. Behind it is a truck for the "Fritz Transfer Co." one of many references to Friz Freleng.
- This is the first cartoon Gerry Chiniquy worked on since 1950's "Stooge for a Mouse".
