Cartoon Moviestars is a VHS collection of Looney Tunes cartoons released by MGM/UA Home Video from 1988 to 1990. Also released in the series were the TV specials "Bugs & Daffy: The Wartime Cartoons" and "Cartoons for Big Kids".
Eight of the VHS releases were later re-released on LaserDisc, with the Bugs and Elmer volumes as well as the Porky and Daffy volumes taking up each side of two LaserDisc releases and the remaining three videos being issued on their own.
Unlike the previous MGM video releases, these cartoons are derived from the original Associated Artists Productions material. These cartoons also had different color borders around the opening and closing titles, and the masters would later appear on the first four volumes of the The Golden Age of Looney Tunes LaserDisc series.

Notes[]
- On this VHS collection, some of these cartoons keep their original a.a.p. titles intact, such as "Brother Brat", "A Hare Grows In Manhattan" and "A Pest in the House". On LaserDisc releases such as the first four volumes of The Golden Age of Looney Tunes, these cartoons have their a.a.p. titles edited out.
- Porky! features the cartoon "I Love to Singa", which is not a Porky Pig cartoon. Similarly, both Daffy Duck and Company and Porky Pig and Company also feature cartoons in which their titular characters do not appear.
- The PAL release of Starring Bugs Bunny! was originally released as part of the Viddy-Oh! For Kids Cartoon Festivals VHS-only collection instead of this collection, albeit with an alternative title: Bugs Bunny Cartoon Festival featuring "Hair Raising Hare", with "Hare Conditioned" being replaced by "Hair-Raising Hare".[1]
- For the Tweety & Sylvester tape, the only four cartoons featuring Sylvester in the a.a.p. package not included are "Peck Up Your Troubles", "Kitty Kornered", "Doggone Cats", "Catch as Cats Can" and "Hop, Look and Listen". "Kitty Kornered" was previously released on the Porky! tape. The other cartoons would later appear in the The Golden Age of Looney Tunes LaserDisc series.
