Comic Madness is an episode of Taz-Mania directed by Keith Baxter. It first aired 7 Dec 1991.

The title is a play on the film Reefer Madness.

Taz's family thinks he is addicted to comic books and tries to break his addiction. Hugh tries to get him interested in oranges. Molly shares her infatuation with the "New Chips off the Block." Jake is too engrossed in his toys to help much. Each is oblivious to their own addictions. Taz goes back to his comics and daydreams that he is a superhero (closely resembling Superman).  A super-villain captures his parents and makes him choose between saving them or saving his comic books.  He wakes and realizes his family is more important.  As he carries the books out to the trash can, Hugh notices the fine artwork, Jean finds a PTA Strike Force comic, and Molly finds one about The New Chips. Taz gives Jake a comic book too, and they all read them together.

  • The New Chips' names are Johnnie, Lonnie, Ronnie, Bonnie, and Clyde.
  • Daffy Duck appears on the cover of one of Taz's comic books.
