Country Boy is a 1935 Merrie Melodies short. It is loosely based on Beatrix Potter's story The Tale of Peter Rabbit.

Plot

Instead of going to school, Peter Cottontail, a very mischievous little rabbit, ignores his siblings' warning and raids a farmer's garden for vegetables... and lives to regret it.

  • This cartoon was redrawn in color in the 1970s by Radio & Television Packagers despite already being in color. The cartoon was retitled "Country Boy Rabbit."[1]
