Dan Backslide is a Looney Tunes character created by Chuck Jones. He was voiced by Mel Blanc.
Description[]
Dan Backslide is a villain who appears in "The Dover Boys". Known as a "coward, bully, cad and thief" and possessing a pale, sickly green complexion and a hammy, loud, over-the-top personality, he despises Tom, Dick and Larry (a.k.a. the Dover boys), and kidnaps the boys' wealthy fiancée "Dainty" Dora Standpipe only for her father's money. After Dan successfully kidnaps Dora, he comically gets all the thrashing from Dora, who cries for help from Tom, Dick and Larry to save her. By the time Tom, Dick and Larry arrive, he already appears to be half-beaten by Dora. After Tom lays a further thrashing on Dan, the three Dover boys prepare to clobber him one last time, but end up inadvertently knocking each other out moments after the villain slumps to the floor from his previous beatings.
