David Thomas Hoffman (1 February 1906 - 20 September 1978) was an American animator who worked for Fleischer Studios and Leon Schlesinger Productions.

Biography[]

Hoffman started his animation career at Fleischer Studios in New York where he was an animator for the Betty Boop cartoons. After the studio moved to Miami in 1938, he moved to Hollywood to work for Leon Schlesinger Productions as an animator for the Bob Clampett unit from 1939 to 1940. He would later work on cartoons such as the second series of Crusader Rabbit, Calvin and the Colonel, King Leonardo, and The Funny Company.[1][2]
