Dodsworth is a fictional cat from the Merrie Melodies and Looney Tunes series. Created by Robert McKimson, the character appeared in two Golden Age shorts.
About Dodsworth[]
Loosely based on W.C. Fields, he is a large lethargic cat with markings almost identical to Sylvester. He is very lazy and is proud of that fact. In both cartoons he appears in, he attempts to coerce a white kitten to do his work for him, but this ultimately backfires.

- In "Kiddin' the Kitten", Dodsworth says that his ancestors were as lazy as him.
