Dominick DeLuise (1 August 1933 – 4 May 2009) was an American actor, director, producer, chef, and author. He is best known for his appearances in Mel Brooks' comedies, including Blazing Saddles, Silent Movie, History of the World, Part 1, and Spaceballs, along with his voice work in Don Bluth's animated films, including The Secret of NIMH, An American Tale, and A Troll in Central Park.
