Paul Edward "Ed" Prentiss was an American actor.

Prominent in old-time radio, Prentiss may be best known for his portrayal of the title character from Captain Midnight. He also appeared in the radio shows The Guiding Light, Today's Children, Armstrong of the SBI, The First Nighter Program, Jack Armstrong, the All-American Boy, Johnny Lujack of Notre Dame, Silver Eagle, Arnold Grimm's Daughter, and The Romance of Helen Trent. He starred in his own series, This Is The Story.[1]

Onscreen, Prentiss appeared in films such as Westbound, Violent Road, Beloved Infidel, Destination Space, Man on a String, Sunrise at Campobello, Lover Come Back, A Gathering of Eagles, One Man's Way, Eight on the Lam, The Barefoot Executive, The Marriage of a Young Stockbroker, and The Whiz Kid and the Mystery at Riverton. His television credentials include Cheyenne, Laramie, 77 Sunset Strip, Leave It to Beaver, The Eleventh Hour, Kraft Suspense Theatre, Dr. Kildare, Perry Mason, Bonanza, The Virginian, and Days of Our Lives.
