Not to be confused with Egghead, a human character.

Egghead Jr. is a character featured in Looney Tunes created by Robert McKimson. He is often depicted as the son of Miss Prissy.

Background[]

Egghead Jr. is a large-headed and very intelligent baby chick resembling Tweety who appeared in several shorts with the bumptious Foghorn Leghorn. The son of Miss Prissy, a spinster hen who inexplicably became a widow in later shorts, Egghead Jr. was bookish and never spoke (though he mumbled when he counted playing hide-and-seek with Foghorn). Foghorn would try to teach him to be a man and play real games like baseball and cowboys and Indians, invariably resulting in bodily injury or humiliation for Foghorn.

Egghead Jr. is referred to as "Eggbert" in comics, which is often mistaken as his official name.

Egghead Jr. appears in Bugs Bunny Builders. Unlike his other appearances, Egghead Jr. speaks and is voiced by child actor Luke Lowe.
