Elmer Wait (11 September 1913 - 20 July 1937)[1][2] was an animator. Elmer Fudd was named in honor of him.[3]
About Elmer[]
Chuck Jones called him "a fine young assistant animator who died too young." He also described Wait's insomnia, or at least his inability to fall asleep at work. The other animators used him as a lookout for the boss while they were "sleeping, loafing, daydreaming, or doing anything but working."[4]
Looney Works[]
His only known animator credits were on 1937's "Porky the Wrestler" and "Porky's Garden".
