The Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle 2 is a 1991 video game released for the Game Boy by Kemco.

Plot[]

Bugs is back in the palm of your hand and here's "What's Up, Doc:" Nasty Witch Hazel has nabbed Honey Bunny from a party in the castle and locked her away. This time you'll have to hunt through 28 huge, multi-level rooms to help Bugs rescue his main squeeze. But watch out! Your search for potions, carrots and incredible devices will be stymied by Looney Tunes characters lurking in every corridor. Bringing Bugs and Honey back together is a greater challenge than ever in Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle 2!

Gameplay[]

The gameplay remains similar to the first game with numerous additions. Instead of collecting eight carrots, Bugs now has to collect eight keys and then reach the exit door in each level to progress.

In some levels Bugs can find a pickaxe which allows him to climb over large blocks, as well as a hammer which lets him break other blocks. Bugs and certain enemies can also climb across gaps using overhead ropes, and use warps to teleport around the level. The boxing glove weapon is replaced with a bow and arrow, and there are also bombs that can be laid down as traps for enemies to walk into.

The game has only 29 levels compared to the previous GameBoy game's 80, but levels are generally more difficult and complex than in the original. It is the only game in the series to contain a boss battle.

International Differences[]

In all different regions, the game has a different title and graphics, in Europe the game is known as Hugo, named and translated after the game show and TV show character Hugo the Troll, and in Japan the game is known as Mickey Mouse II based on the Disney character Mickey Mouse.
