Franco Latini (September 12, 1927 - February 2, 1991) was an Italian actor, voice actor and dubbing director. He was the father of voice actresses Laura Latini and Ilaria Latini. He also had a son, Fabrizio Vidale from another relationship. He was best known for dubbing cartoon characters into the Italian language.
Biography
Latini made his major breakthrough in 1953 starring in the Italian film The World Condemns Them. He later went on to star in other films such as Mondo pazzo... gente matta! and La cameriera nera. As a voice actor, he dubbed many characters owned by Hanna-Barbera, Disney and The Muppets. He was also the Italian voice of Stan Laurel in many redubs of Laurel & Hardy shorts and films.
For Looney Tunes, he voiced characters such as Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Yosemite Sam, Sylvester, Witch Hazel and Speedy Gonzales. His children have also contributed to voicing characters in the Looney Tunes franchise.
Latini died of a stroke in Rome on February 2nd 1991 at the age of 63. This was also the day of his son Fabrizio Vidale's 21st birthday.
