Chirp was the first ruler of the Canary Islands and Tweety's and Aoogah's distant ancestor. They were a skilled warrior who freed the citizens of the Canary Islands from canine invaders. They were killed by Diego von Schniffenstein when he fed them to a lion, and stole one of their tail feathers. Their spirit, along with the spirits of Tweety and Aoogah's ancestors later appeared to help them and Sylvester defeat Diego after the canaries destroyed his feather boa, which was made from the tail feathers of the royal family members he stole from.
