Harold John "Hal" Smith (24 August 1916 - 28 January 1994) was an American actor and voice artist. He is perhaps best known for his role as Otis Campbell in The Andy Griffith Show. His voice acting roles include Owl from Disney's Winnie the Pooh and Tex Flintstone in The Flintstones. Smith became the voice of Elmer Fudd upon the death of Arthur Q. Bryan and voiced him in two shorts, "Dog Gone People" and "What's My Lion?". He also voiced him in commercials for Kool-Aid and Alpha-Bits.
