Censorship[]
The version shown in Looney Tunes on Nickelodeon (the original Nick at Nite version that showed black and white shorts) edited a few scenes for black stereotyping:
- The beginning with all the food items singing the title song deletes the shot of the black chef on a box of Scream Wheat singing to a mammy caricature on a box of Aunt Eliza Pancake Flour.
- The scene of the children using the ceiling fan like a merry-go-round was cut due to the presence of two black boys.
Notes[]
- This is the last Merrie Melodies cartoon to have any character say "So long, folks!". Starting with "Why Do I Dream Those Dreams", Merrie Melodies started to use the Looney Tunes line "That's all, folks!".
