Jasper Goes Hunting is an animated short film in the Puppetoons series directed by George Pal and first released 28 July 1944. The short was distributed by Paramount Pictures. The short includes a cameo of Bugs Bunny voiced by Mel Blanc and animated by Bob McKimson.
Bugs' Cameo[]
During the cartoon, the Scarecrow points his gun at a rabbit hole and orders its resident to come out. Bugs Bunny emerges, notices his surrounding and realizes that he is in "the wrong picture". He then returns to his hole.

- Bugs' cameo in this cartoon marks the first time a Looney Tunes character appears in a non-Warner Bros. production, in this case a Paramount Pictures production.
- The second time would be in the TV movie Daffy Duck and Porky Pig Meet the Groovie Goolies (1972) produced by Filmation, the third time would be in the movie Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988), a Disney/Touchstone/Amblin production, and fourth time would be in the TV special Cartoon All-Stars to the Rescue (1990).
