John Rooster is a Looney Tunes character who only appeared in the 1949 cartoon "Each Dawn I Crow". His vocal effects were provided by Mel Blanc.
About John[]
He is a silent rooster who is owned by Elmer Fudd. He is initially a happy rooster who proudly crows and struts about the farm. However, when he finds out from a mysterious voice that he may be killed by Elmer, he becomes paranoid and starts smoking. John does anything to prevent his death, including painting a moon and stars on Elmer's window so he'll think it's still night, building a fence wall higher to keep the sun from creeping over it, and hanging from the clapper to keep the church bell from ringing. John is also a bit stupid, as all of his attempts backfire.
