John A. Waltz (26 May 1909 – 17 April 1984) was an American background artist for Warner Bros. Cartoons in the mid-1930s.

Waltz was born in Franklin, Indiana, and later moved to Los Angeles, California, in June 1931. He was a freelance artist for years before joining the Walt Disney studio in November 1935, where he worked on three shorts before moving to Warner Bros. Cartoons. He never received credit for his work at the studio.[1]
