Looney Tunes 3D Shorts are a series of Looney Tunes shorts specifically made to be shown in 3D.
History[]
In 1953, a 3D-craze had hit Hollywood. Naturally, Warner Bros. jumped in on the craze, producing a Bugs Bunny cartoon called "Lumber Jack-Rabbit" (this cartoon was later re-released in 2D in 1954). To date, this is the only Bugs Bunny cartoon produced for 3D (aside from cameos).
In 2010, with a new 3D-craze underway, Warner started releasing brand new 3D Looney Tunes cartoons to the big screen. Three Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote cartoons were produced and released in 2010 ("Coyote Falls", "Fur of Flying", and "Rabid Rider") in front of various family films.
In 2011, Warner announced that three more 3D Looney Tunes shorts would hit the big screen soon, two of which would be based on old songs sung by Mel Blanc recorded in the 1950s. "I Tawt I Taw a Puddy Tat" was released on November 18, 2011 in front of Happy Feet Two.
In 2012, "Daffy's Rhapsody" was released in front of Journey 2: The Mysterious Island.
In 2014, "Flash in the Pain" was released at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival.
