Looney Tunes Phonics is a point-and-click Flash game published by CNK Digital in 2011 as part of its ClickN Play video game series. It is an educational game based around reading.
Gameplay[]
The player has to find the corresponding answer(s), to what is said out loud by Professor Whizbot. Some parts require the player to type, though making an on-screen keyboard appear is optional.
There are different types of lessons throughout the game:[1]
- "Letter Sounds" - Pronunciations of letters.
- "Listening Zone" - Pronunciations of various words.
- "Reading Zone" - Regarding both vocabulary and full sentences.
- "Speed Zone" - To repeat sentences and test players' memory.
As the player completes a lesson, a short animation relating to the selected episode will play.
Episodes[]
- "Build a Better Birdcage" - Tweety gets inspiration to improve his birdcage, while Sylvester still plans to eat him.
- "Bunny Brunch" - Bugs Bunny and the Tasmanian Devil go out fishing together, but hijinks ensue.
- "24 Hour Daze", "Fit, Flat and Fly" - Wile E. tries any ACME product to get the Road Runner, as usual.
Notes[]
- The game was also available for a tablet called the "ClickN Kids Family Tablet".
- Joe Alaskey voices all of the Looney Tunes characters, while Whizbot is voiced by Armie Carabet.[2]
- Carabet is also the founder of ClickN Kids.
- Hector the Bulldog makes a brief cameo in the Tweety and Sylvester segment "Build a Better Birdcage" where he grabs Sylvester by the neck into the ACME Bulldog box, though only his hand is seen.
