The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) is a law created and designed to protect the privacy of children under 13. The Act was passed by the United States Congress in 1998 and took effect in April 2000. This law is seriously enforced. The law states that adults may not ask personal information from minors (under 18) online and minors (under 13) may not create social media or any type of accounts online (including Wikia/FANDOM and Wikipedia), even if parental consent is given. Doing either is also a violation of the FANDOM/Wikia's Terms of Use, which forbid users under 13 to operate FANDOM/Wikia accounts to comply with United States Law as Wikia is an American company. However, Looney Tunes WIki Acme Staff will not take action against users who claim to be underage. Wikia staff will deal with that problem if it is brought to their attention.
If you want to remain editing, for safety reasons, please do not reveal your age, unless you are 13 and older and are fine with it. See here for more information.
There are serious consequences for citizens in the United States who break this law, which include prison time and/or severe charges. There may be serious consequences for violating similar children's privacy laws in the European Union, Australia, or Canada. These laws are similar to the United States COPPA law, and most likely prohibit minors under 13 (or close to that age) from creating social media or online accounts and prohibit adults from phishing information from anyone under the age of 18 (16 in the European Union, or the legal age of that country).
If you feel unsafe on Wikia due to a threat or a stalker, please report the users to Acme Staff, Wikia, and if necessary, contact your local law enforcement. If this becomes a major problem across multiple Wikia encyclopedias, you may file a report to Wikia privately, who will then contact the country's law enforcement based on the user's IP address. Law enforcement will work with FANDOM/Wikia to track IP addresses and their respective nearby locations. Please note that American law enforcement will most likely work within the United States and its legal territories. The Acme Staff do not know if Wikia/FANDOM works with law enforcement in Australia, the European Union, New Zealand, Canada, Singapore, or any other nation that has access to Wikia to track IP addresses of offenders in other countries. As such, we sincerely apologize if someone is harassing you from another country.
