Wikia has shut down the forums. However, these rules still apply in the new discussions.
These are the discussion boards policies. If you are blocked from editing the wiki, you will not be able to comment and post to the forums until your block is over, or in the case of an indefinite block, an Acme Head unblocks your account. Please note that you may be blocked solely from editing the Discussions boards, either temporarily or indefinitely.
Publication of Content
You alone are responsible for your own content, and once published, in most cases will not be completely withdrawn. You assume all risks associated with your content, including anyone's reliance on its quality, accuracy, or reliability, or any disclosure by you of information in your content that makes you personally identifiable. You represent that you own, or have the necessary permissions to use and authorize the use of Your Content as described herein.
You may expose yourself to liability if, for example, your content contains material that is false, intentionally misleading, or violates moral right, privacy right, right of publicity, or any other intellectual property or proprietary right. You may also expose yourself if your content contains material that is unlawful, including illegal hate speech or pornography, exploits or otherwise harms minors, or violates or advocates the violation of any law or regulation.
Rules
The Looney Tunes Wiki's rules and policies apply at all times.
Posting
- Users who only contribute to the discussions boards and not make any mainspace edits may be blocked from editing discussions temporarily. This restriction, if applied, is to encourage mainspace editing. Remember that LTW is an encyclopedia first and those who are not here to build an encyclopedia are generally unwelcome here.
- Users should make a new thread for each new discussion topic.
- Users are discouraged from necroposting. Any threads after 30 days of inactivity should not be replied to.
- Please be descriptive in your header.
- Please place your thread in the correct forum. Read the descriptions of each of the boards to learn where topics should go.
- The Suggestions board is for suggestions relating to the wiki.
- General comments about the Looney Tunes franchise and its spinoffs should go in the Looney Talk board. (i.e., "Thoughts on The Looney Tunes Show," "Favorite Porky Pig Cartoon?")
- Do not make useless posts, such as "Happy Birthday, Bugs Bunny". These go in the Discord server, where there are no such restrictions.
- Do not post more than once a week. This is to keep spam out of the boards.
- News regarding the Looney Tunes franchise and its spinoffs should go in the Looney News board. (i.e., "Looney Tunes shorts added to Boomerang")
- While not related to the discussions boards, the article talk pages are only for discussing the contents and upkeep of the article itself. Please place all general comments and queries (i.e., "This is my favorite character," "I don't like this short") in the forums and blogs. Any such posts on the article talk pages will be removed and the users who made those edits will be warned, and blocked if it persists.
- Do not advertise any websites on the wiki. These go to the LTW Discord Server's self-promotion channel. Active users may only advertise wikis they have founded or edit on, or other websites they use or own, as long as they are suitable for the web. You may not join just to advertise. Anyone who does that or posts NSFW websites may be blocked from editing (and/or banned from the Discord server) without warning.
- If you are blocked from editing the wiki or if you are only partially blocked from editing the discussions boards, you may not use another account to participate in the discussions boards. This is called sockpuppeting, and will result in further sanctions on your account. Your sockpuppet accounts will also be permanently banned. Please see the blocking policy on how to file a block appeal.
Be nice and treat people with respect.
- People from all around the world read and edit this wiki and its forums. Like any other collaborative project, not everyone will agree all the time. Keep discussions civil and be open minded about differing opinions. We're all here because we love the same topic.
Try to find existing discussions first, but don't be afraid to start a new thread.
- Please take a moment to sift through the Looney Tunes Wiki Forum boards to see if a discussion already exists about something you want to talk about. If you can't find what you're looking for, jump right in and start a new discussion! Please note that threads inactive for 30 days or more should not be revived, and a new thread of the same topic can be created after 30 days of inactivity of the old thread.
Ask for help.
- Notice something that doesn't seem right? Or do you have a question? Ask for help here on the forums! If you need help from FANDOM staff, please reach out on Community Central or via Special:Contact.
Have fun!
- The Looney Tunes Wiki community is happy to have you here. We look forward to seeing you around as we discuss this topic we all love.
Forum FAQ
Please note that these no longer exist as FANDOM/Wikia has migrated us to discussions.
How do I stay on top of discussions I'm interested in?
- With a FANDOM user account, you can follow specific conversations and then receive notification messages (either on-site or via email) when a discussion has more activity. Be sure to sign up for a FANDOM account if you don't already have one.
How do I remove vandalism?
- If you notice some spam or vandalism on a thread, hover your mouse over the offending text. You'll see a "More" button appear. Inside the "More" menu, you'll find "Remove". This will allow you to remove the vandalism and optionally inform an admin.
What are Kudos?
- If you find a particular discussion or reply interesting, well thought out, or amusing you can show direct appreciation by giving it Kudos. They can be helpful in voting situations, too. Kudos no longer exist on this wiki as of 2020.
What are Topics?
- Topics allow you to link a forum discussion with a wiki article. It's another way to keep Forums organized and to help people find interesting discussions. For example, a Forum thread tagged with Lord Voldemort will appear at the bottom of the Lord Voldemort article.
