Notes[]

  • This is the first cartoon to have the new lettering on the Merrie Melodies logo. It is also the first cartoon to use the orange color rings and the only one to have the 1939-40 "Merrily We Roll Along" theme song.
  • The Fred and Ginger dance sequence is reused from "September in the Rain" (1937).
  • This cartoon seldom airs on American television due to the Rochester caricature being featured prominently. It did air on the Turner Classic Movies anthology show Cartoon Alley in its premiere episode about caricatures of Clark Gable and aired once on an early morning installment of The Acme Hour on Cartoon Network's American channel in October 2000. It also airs on overseas Cartoon Network channels. An American Turner 1995 "dubbed version" print exists.
  • The Kay Kyser caricature's line, "That's it! That's it! That's it! Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! That's it! That's it!" is taken from "Africa Squeaks" (1940).
