Tubby millar

Melvin Eugene "Tubby" Millar (May 6, 1900-December 30, 1980) was a gag writer for Warner Brothers Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies from 1937 to 1945, a graduate of Kansas City Art School (where he met and befriended Friz Freleng). He tended to specialize in Porky Pig cartoons. There is a memorial to him in his hometown of Portis, Kansas, which Millar indirectly referred to in several of his cartoons, including "Bingo Crosbyana" (1936), "Porky's Pet" (1936), "Porky in the North Woods" (1936), and "Porky's Road Race" (1937).
