Mexican Mousepiece is a 1966 Merrie Melodies short directed by Robert McKimson.
Plot[]
Daffy's house is overrun by mice. He reads about some starving cats overseas in a newspaper and decides to send them a care package. He cons the gullible mice into walking right into a crate, but blurts out his plan towards the mice. However, one of the mice talks his way out and telephones Speedy Gonzales for help.
Speedy immediately comes by the rescue the mice, firstly by running through Daffy's van and reducing it to nothing. As the mice in the care package runs off, Daffy slams them with a plank of wood. Speedy makes a hoax box that is full of fireworks and tricks Daffy to take the fake box after he can't find the mice under the real box despite the mice clinging on the box so Daffy can't spot them. However, Daffy lures the mice back by fooling them to think the box is full of cheese. Speedy retaliates by smashing Daffy's foot with a hammer and he runs off with the care package onto another side of the gorge, pushing off the log bridge so Daffy cannot cross through.
Daffy attempts to cross the gorge using a seesaw, a firework rocket, and a slingshot, all of which backfires on him. "Hey duck, why you no jump across? It will be safer!" His slingshot attempt does get him across the gorge, but smashing himself flat onto the wall of a cliff. As the flattened Daffy slides down, Speedy laughs off that Daffy should be sent overseas to a pressed duck market.
