The Money-Splitting Gag is a recurring gag in Looney Tunes.

Summary[]

The gag is an unfair way of dividing a sum of money between partners. The perpetrator, often Bugs Bunny, will count in this fashion:

"One for you, and one for me." (passing out one bill each, as expected)
"Two for you, and one, two for me." (passing one bill to the partner, but two to himself)
"Three for you, and one, two, three for me." (passing one bill to the partner, but three to himself)

The gag predates Looney Tunes, probably originating in vaudeville. It previously appeared in Our Gang and Abbott and Costello films, and has more recently appeared in The Simpsons.
