Mr. Meek is a minor character from the Looney Tunes franchise.
About Mr. Meek[]
True to his name, he is an incredibly meek, humble and pusillanimous man who gets pushed around and bullied by everyone, even his own wife Mrs. Meek, whom he affectionately calls "Sweetie Puss".
He served as an unwilling antagonist to Daffy Duck in the 1943 short "The Wise Quacking Duck", where he is a simple farmer and the owner of Daffy Duck. In the short, he is ordered by his domineering wife to kill Daffy and serve him for dinner much to his displeasure. Throughout the short, Daffy torments Mr. Meek via all manner of silly gags and tricks while evading his attempts at cooking him for dinner. Mr. Meek catches Daffy and throws him in the oven, but he is unable to cook the poor duck as he becomes riddled with guilt upon hearing Daffy's screams of "pain", but upon letting Daffy out of the oven he finds not a wounded or burned Daffy but a giddy and wacky Daffy basting himself in gravy while joking about the joys of being cooked in gas.
Mr. Meek would appear decades later in The Sylvester & Tweety Mysteries episode "California's Crusty Bronze", where he now works as a health inspector in Los Angeles, California. He goes to the Mayor of LA's newest restaurant to inspect it, but he is continually demeaned and abused by the Mayor, Sylvester, Hector, and many others who think he is just a random customer, while mistaking a stranger for the health inspector. Meek furiously declares the restaurant a disaster and shuts it down, but Granny, who was at the restaurant helping the Mayor discover who was trying to ruin his business, is able to explain the misunderstanding while finding out who was trying to sabotage the restaurant. Meek gives the restaurant a passing grade.
