Mrs. Cat, sometimes called Sylvia, has appeared in two different incarnations in two different cartoons. Once as a desperate housewife yellow cat in "A Mouse Divided" and as a straight-up stereotypical mother cat in "Goldimouse and the Three Cats". She also appeared in Daffy Duck's Movie: Fantastic Island in 1983.

Description[]

Sylvia is the wife of Sylvester. She is a yellow cat wearing a purple bow in her neck.

History[]

Voice: Bea Benaderet

In "A Mouse Divided" she is a desperate housewife who constantly wishes for a baby, much to Sylvester's objections. She becomes the unconditionally loving mother of the baby mouse accidentally delivered to their home, even protecting the baby mouse from getting eaten by Sylvester.

Voice: June Foray

In "Goldimouse and the Three Cats" she is the seemingly very exhausted and “stereotypical” mother cat of Sylvester Junior.

Unlike her previous appearance, she bears a much closer resemblance to her husband, and has grey fur instead of yellow fur, and wears a blue dress.

She also appears in a bridging sequence in Daffy Duck's Movie: Fantastic Island, with her original character design from "A Mouse Divided". The blurb on the back cover of the VHS calls her Mrs. Sylvester.
