Porky the Gob is a 1938 Looney Tunes short directed by Ben Hardaway and Cal Dalton.
Plot[]
A battleship mostly run by dogs sets sail. The crew threatens to get the mess hall before the captain will, the captain tells them to stop. The people in the ship are informed of a radio message about a reward for capturing a pirate submarine. The crew sets off in planes, leaving Porky behind. When the ship is attacked by the submarine, it's up to Porky to defend the ship.

- On the 2020 restoration previously on HBO Max, the "That's all Folks!" sequence occurs twice at the end. The MeTV Toons airing of the short on 20 August 2024 has the sequence occur as normal.

- This is the first Looney Tune to have the 1938-41 opening rendition of "The Merry-Go-Round Broke Down".
