Bob Bentley

Robert Jarvis Bentley[1] (11 March 1907 - 28 November 2000) was an American animator. He worked for Warner Bros. Animation, Fleischer Studios, MGM, Tex Avery, Walter Lantz, UPA, Hanna-Barbera, Filmation, and among others.

Biography[]

Bentley got his start at the Van Beuren studio in 1929 and left in 1935 to work for Walt Disney and later for Leon Schlesinger Productions where he worked under director Frank Tashlin. In 1938, Bentley left to work at Max Fleischer's studio in Miami where he worked on the 1939 film Gulliver's Travels.[2] He would later go on to work for Walter Lantz, Tex Avery at MGM, UPA, Hanna-Barbera, and DePatie-Freleng Enterprises. After working at Filmation, he retired in 1973.[3]
