Salesduck is a 2021 Looney Tunes Cartoons short directed by Ryan Kramer.

Plot[]

In his cottage near the forest, Elmer Fudd is preparing to sleep when he hears a knock at the door. He opens the door, and Salesduck Daffy barges in, promising a grand opportunity to purchase a revolutionary new product. However, Elmer is not convinced and kicks Daffy out of the house before going back upstairs to bed. When he clambers into the covers, he discovers that Daffy has entered the house once again. Angered, Elmer denies the offer and places the duck back into his bag, zipping it shut before kicking him out once again. Afterwards, he goes to brush his teeth, but Daffy has somehow hidden himself in the toothpaste tube. Elmer squirts him out of the house and into the telephone wire. He finally drifts off to sleep once in bed, dreaming about pancakes with blueberry syrup, jalapeño omelette, banana bread French toast, and a bowl of hard boiled eggs, but still, Daffy leaps out to advertise his product. Elmer grudgingly agrees to the offer, and is overjoyed to learn that it will help him sleep better. The product is a mallet, which Daffy uses to knock both Elmer and himself into a deep sleep.

Notes[]

  • As this was one of the first shorts made for Looney Tunes Cartoons, the final model sheets were not yet available during production.[1] For that reason, Elmer Fudd's design is slightly different in this short, having his nose the same color as his skin rather than having a peach nose, larger eyes, and a differently shaped head.
