Seven Arts Productions was a film production company.
In 1961, they licensed the television distribution rights to 191 black-and-white Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies from Warner Bros. after Guild Films went bankrupt. In 1967, they purchased WB, forming Warner Bros.-Seven Arts, resulting in Seven Arts' cartoon distribution rights re-entering the Warner fold. In 1969, the combined operation was purchased by Kinney National, who renamed the entity Warner Bros.
Notes[]
- The Seven Arts Productions-published Looney Tunes prints generally retain the Sunset Productions opening logo (as had appeared on Guild's earlier television prints), but replace the Guild Films ending card with one crediting Seven Arts. Most (if not all) of these end cards replace the audio with the 1936-37 Looney Tunes theme, regardless of the cartoon itself.
