About reviewed copyright for the animated short film[]
From my deletion request on Wikimedia Commons:
- Unfortunately, the animated short film isn't in public domain anymore since what I done reviewing for the record entries on copyright catalogues. The original copyright holder Vitaphone had lately registered it as Blue Ribbon reissue in 1950, then the United Artists (UA) (successor to Associated Artists Productions (AAP)) renewed the original copyright holder in 1969; therefore it'll expire soon until 2037.
- Here are these two snippets of record entries:
- HOLLYWOOD STEPS OUT, Warner Bros. Cartoons, 1950, 7 min., sd. color, 35mm, (Blue Ribbon Cartoon) © The Vitaphone Corp.; 27Jul50 (in notice: 1941); MP413. - Referenced from the US Library of Congress (LC) - Catalog of Copyright Entries 1950: Motion Pictures and Filmstrips (Parts 12-13)
- HOLLYWOOD STEPS OUT, a motion picture in 7 min. by Vitaphone Corp. © 27Jul50 (in notice: 1941); MP413. United Artists Television, Inc. (PWH); 10Jan69; R453521. - Referenced from the US Library of Congress (LC) - Catalog of Copyright Entries 1969: Motion Pictures and Filmstrips (Parts 12-13)

- Good find. You can add those in if you wish and remove the category of public domain cartoons. All the best! :) Orange Mo (talk) 07:17, September 6, 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks. I already did it twice earlier, but can you update that article?
