The Acme Acres Zone is the fourteenth episode of the animated series Tiny Toon Adventures.
Wraparounds[]
The episode begins with Plucky on a skateboard stealing ice cream from Fifi La Fume, unbeknownst that it was being narrated in a parody of The Twilight Zone by Buster as Rod Serling. He comments to the viewers of the strangeness and mysteries of each episode being connected to the Acme Acres Zone.
In the final segment, Buster begins to question the viewers about the unexplained mysteries, when Barky Marky then appeared, and Furrball (who throughout the episode was his wig, hiding from Barky Marky) began to run from him. The episode ends with the camera panning up towards the starry sky with the Twilight Zone theme being played.
Episode Segments[]
A Walk on the Flip Side[]
Rabbit-hater Montana Max goes through a nightmare where he wakes up to find he's become a bunny, to the delight of Babs, Buster, and Elmyra. The nightmare starts with Monty finding out to his horror that he's a rabbit with brown fur. He runs desperately in surprise and is quickly caught by Elmyra who proceeds to squeeze him and shower him with kisses declaring he is her new pet. When he tries to resist Elmyra quickly ties him up placing him in a baby carriage and makes him wear a baby bonnet; Monty struggles against the ropes as Elmyra prepares a baby bottle for him testing the temperature and making sure the nipple is sturdy. Monty fed up rocks his baby carriage so it rolls down a hill allowing him to escape but crashes sending him flying through the air back to his mansion to find it occupied by a rich couple (Buster and Babs with rich outfits and British accents). They pity him at first and give him rabbit food and later give him a bubble bath, but eventually become annoyed by his screams and tantrums and call an animal control agent to take him away so he can be given a good home. The animal shelter throws Monty in a cage full of hundreds of white rabbits, which drives him even more insane. Elmyra then arrives to tell rabbit Monty to "come to Mommy" and that she'll take him home and love him "forever and ever", and this causes him to finally break down and scream wildly that he'll be kind to rabbits; he then wakes up from the nightmare. Even with the nightmare, Monty quickly regains his hostile attitude toward rabbits, and when Buster and Babs pay him a visit, he sends his guard dogs to chase them out. Buster assures Babs that there will be a twist ending. It comes when Monty opens the breakfast cabinet to find it full of hundreds of rabbits and when Babs twists her ears. Monty breaks down bawling, and the misery increases when Elmyra shows up to hug him, causing him to flee.
A Bacon Strip[]
Hamton and Plucky go swimming in Montana Max's swimming pool. Plucky dares Hamton to go skinny-dipping. He takes off his overalls, and jumps into the pool. Montana Max gets a notice that Hamton is swimming in his pool, (Monty doesn't want anyone in the pool, made of "10,000 gallons of imported spring water") and he drains the pool. Montana Max also takes his overalls. Hamton flees from Monty's mansion only to find that Plucky is nowhere to be found. Hamton goes outside nude, and there is a tour bus behind him. The tour bus tours Montana Max's mansion, and then tells the tourists that there is a "naked pig", which is obviously Hamton. He finds some graffiti and spray-paints the frontal half of his skin, so people don't know that he is nude. Granny says "hello" to Hamton and asks if he can help her cross the street. Hamton, being the honest pig he is, reluctantly agrees, but a car splashes water on him, which washes up the spray-paint, and Granny freaks out and discovers that he is a naked pig. Feet away from his house, he goes inside and his friends celebrate his birthday. Plucky tells Hamton it was his job to stall him while his friends set up his party, to which Hamton replies, "Good thing I'm in my birthday suit." and uses a Happy Birthday banner as a loincloth as he eats some cake.
Senserely Yours, Babs[]
Babs Bunny, the comedian extraordinaire, uses multiple jokes to make Hamton laugh during a skit, then proudly proclaims that she hopes to be 'the funniest rabbit anyone knows'. To this end, Babs brings Hamton along to the main lab at Acme Looniversity and asks Calamity Coyote to activate a machine that will make her twice as funny as before. Calamity's experiment accidentally separates Babs' sense of humor from the rest of her body. Calamity and Hamton try unsuccessfully to stop Babs' sense of humor but it escapes into the streets of Acme Acres. To their horror, the rest of Babs has turned into a nerd with a formal outfit and a pair of glasses who speaks softly and doesn't laugh. As they venture out into Acme Acres to look for Babs' sense of humor, Calamity reminds Hamton with a series of drawings that they must retrieve it before sundown, if they fail the humor spirit will fade for good and Babs herself will be left permanently nerd-ified. They trace it to a nearby hospital, where the sense of humor has turned a 'surgeon's room' into a 'sturgeon's room'. They finally capture the sense of humor by using cartoon gags to trap it in a net and then a food cart. They hurry back to Calamity's lab as the sun is beginning to set and reunite the sense of humor with the still-nerdy Babs just in time, returning her to her old, jokester self.
