The Bugs and Daffy Show (or simply Bugs and Daffy) was a Cartoon Network block that aired Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies cartoons from Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, as well as other characters. The block was a replacement of Bugs and Daffy Tonight, airing from 1995-2004.
The block marked the debut of Turner Entertainment's own "Dubbed Version" transfers which were created in 1995, replacing most of the old a.a.p. prints previously used, where these then-new transfers made their television debut in 1997. [1][2][3]
Originally limited to airing only the pre-1948 Looney Tunes cartoons from 1995-1996, however following the 1996 Time Warner-Turner Entertainment merger, the post-1948 Looney Tunes cartoons from WB's package were slowly added to the block in 1997 when Cartoon Network rebranded from the Checkerboard Era (1992-1997) to the Powerhouse Era (1997-2004), with the rest of the other post-1948 WB-owned cartoons later airing in the block in 1999 after rival network Nickelodeon's contract with Looney Tunes had expired.
The show was similar to another show called Bugs 'n' Daffy from Kids' WB!
