Title[]
The title is a play on the 1937 Warner Bros. film The Case of the Stuttering Bishop.
Plot[]
Porky, Petunia, and their brothers Peter, Patrick, Percy, and Portis, are set to inherit a fortune from their rich uncle. Goofs[]
- When four of Porky's siblings are shown in the stocks, there are two extra spaces (for Porky and Petunia). Later, when Petunia is kidnapped, there are only 5 spaces, and Petunia looks the exact same as Porky's other siblings.
Notes[]
- This cartoon parodies many of the typical horror movie elements of the 1930s, particularly the movies from Universal Studios.
- This is an unusual cartoon in that Petunia Pig appears as Porky's sister, rather than his girlfriend, as in her other appearances.
- The animation of Porky running up and down the stairs was later reused in "Jeepers Creepers".
- Porky has a brother named “Portis”, yet another reference to the hometown of Melvin Millar.
- The fourth wall is broken in this cartoon; in the cartoon, the monster tells the audience not to interfere with his plan, particularly antagonizing "the guy in the third row." At the end of the cartoon, when a theater chair gets thrown at the monster, it is then revealed that the very same "guy in the third row" threw it.
