Notes[]

  • This cartoon was followed by "The Woods Are Full of Cuckoos" (1937) and "Have You Got Any Castles?" (1938), both parodying Hollywood personalities.
    • Ben Birdie later appeared in "The Woods Are Full of Cuckoos"; some animation from this cartoon was reused.
  • This is the first short that was edited by Treg Brown; he would continue making the sound effects for Warner Bros. Cartoons until his retirement in 1964.
  • Some of the W.C. Fields pig's animation is recycled from "At Your Service Madame" (1936).
  • The scene with the dancing birds is a reused shot from a similar scene in "I'm a Big Shot Now".
  • This cartoon was submitted for an Academy Award in 1936, but was never nominated.
  • The many caricatures in this cartoon were designed by T. Hee, who also designed the Termite Terrace Christmas card for 1936. He left the studio for Disney not long after this cartoon was released.
