The Daffy Duck Show is a cartoon anthology program on Kids' WB! that mostly featured Daffy Duck.
Overview[]
In late 1996, the WB Network introduced The Daffy Duck Show to replace Freakazoid! This show had the same format as Bugs 'n' Daffy, except the show had a new opening sequence. The cartoons featured were also slightly different; each show contained two Daffy cartoons with a cartoon featuring another supporting character in between (with the exception being the first episode), along with a "Hip Clip". Most notably, The Daffy Duck Show was able to show Warner Bros. cartoons made before 1948 thanks to the merger of Warner Bros. and Turner Entertainment that same year. A follow-up program titled The New Daffy Duck Show was intended to have premiered on the network a year later, but due to creative differences and its lack of direction, it was cancelled at the last minute.[1][2][3]
Episodes[]
A total of 13 episodes of The Daffy Duck Show aired on the WB, from November 23rd of 1996 to February 15th of 1997. Each episode contained 2 Daffy shorts sandwiched with another Warner Bros. short. These middle shorts would usually star Sylvester, Tweety, Porky Pig and Foghorn Leghorn. Some one-shot shorts had also aired on the show. The only exception of this was the very 1st episode, where 3 Daffy shorts had aired. The Henpecked Duck was computer-colorized.
