Bugs Bunny Theme - This Is It

This Is It is the theme song to The Bugs Bunny Show. It was written by composers Mack David and Jerry Livingston, and performed by Mel Blanc, singing as Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck in unison. Its accompanying animation sequence was animated by Gerry Chiniquy under the supervision of Friz Freleng.[1]

"This Is It" appeared on the original show and its reformatted versions until 1984, when it was replaced by the new theme song "It's Cartoon Gold." Then in 1988, for the third season of The Bugs Bunny & Tweety Show, "This Is It" returned as the theme song, and remained as such until the show was canceled altogether in 2000.

Lyrics[]

Overture, curtain, lights,
This is it, the night of nights
No more rehearsing and nursing a part
We know every part by heart
Overture, curtains, lights
This is it, you'll hit the heights
And oh what heights we'll hit
On with the show, this is it

Tonight what heights we'll hit
On with the show, this is it
